From 1 September 2026
You are eligible for a flu vaccine if you are:
- Pregnant
- A child aged 2 or 3 on 31 August 2026 (DOB between 01.09.2022-31.08.2024)
From 1 October 2026
You are eligible if you are:
- Aged 65 or over (including anyone who will turn 65 by 31 March 2027)
- Aged 18 to under 65 and in an eligible clinical risk group
- Living in a long-stay residential care home
- A carer receiving Carer’s Allowance, or the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
- A close contact of someone who is immunocompromised
- A frontline social care worker without an employer-led occupational health scheme
COVID-19 vaccination
From 1st October 2026
The NHS COVID-19 vaccine will be offered to people at higher risk of serious illness fromCOVID-19.
You are eligible if you are:
- 75 years or older
- Living in a care home for older adult
- Aged 6 months or over and immunosuppressed
Can I have both?
Yes – If you are eligible for both the flu and COVID-19 vaccines, you will be offered them at the same time.
Why vaccinate?
Vaccination can help protect you from serious illness and reduce the risk of complications from seasonal respiratory infections.
If you are eligible, when contacted please book an appointment at the surgery. We plan to hold children’s nasal flu clinics from the middle of September, and adult clinics from the beginning of October.
